The Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference is back for 2026. This year’s theme is Culture Keepers — a celebration of the people, practices, and traditions that sustain our land, foodways, and communities.

Monday, October 5th: Workshops, speakers, vendors, and live music at Short's Brewing Company.
Tuesday, October 6th: Workshops, speakers, and opportunities to gather.
Location
Downtown Bellaire. The conference will be spread between a few centrally located spaces in this vibrant rural downtown.
Attendees will be responsible for their own meals at local restaurants.

We'll cover a wide array of topics, with focus areas including Perrennial Farming, Plant Seeds + Breeds, Farming as a Business, and Farming through the Generations.
The conference is structured to provide valuable information and experiences for beginning farmers, experienced farmers, farming support professionals, and the farming-curious.
