Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor, Dan Watson, celebrate the 160th Anniversary of Sibelius' birth.
The concert will open with the best known of all Sibelius' works, the highly patriotic and rousing Finlandia, evoking the national struggle of the Finnish people.
We are delighted to welcome the talented midlands based violinist Shulah Oliver-Smith to perform Sibelius' Violin Concerto and concluding the concert is Sibelius' wonderful Second Symphony, popularly dubbed the "Symphony of Independence".
Our Northern Lights concert promises to be a special one!
