BANGOR DRAMA CLUB
THE DONAHUE SISTERS
Geraldine Aron
Set in the attic of the family home in Ireland, three sisters talk long into the night about their unhappy lives. The time comes for a ritual enactment of a violent incident from their childhood. When the enactment is complete things return to normal and the women seem to have found the answers to their problems.
THEATRE 3 NEWTOWNABBEY
TWO SISTERS
Caroline Harding
A gripping black comedy set in a small Russian town in the 1880’s. Two sisters reveal dark secrets, long buried in the mists of time. When a coffin is discovered in Anya’s lodgings, she and her sister Sonia – both now in their 40’s – are forced to confront memories from their past that they’d rather forget!
Bangor Drama Club
THE BEAR
Anton Chekhov
The play is set in the drawing room of Elena Ivanova Popova, a young widow who has isolated herself for seven months following the death of her unfaithful husband. Despite her husband’s infidelity, Popova vows to remain loyal to his memory, refusing to engage with the outside world – until she is visited by a creditor named Smirnov!
