We are excited for this year's North Texas Overdose Awareness Day!
We will be returning for our 5th year to the Lawn of the Denton Courthouse on the Square on Saturday, August 31, 6:30 p.m.
This free event is a passion project that strives to reduce the stigma of overdose and hopes to end opiod overdose. 300+ Americans die EVERY DAY to opiod overdose. We are here to educate, we are here to support, and we want to remember loved ones taken by this terrible epidemic!
Each year, we have some amazing and inspiring speakers. Our incredible sponsors and resource providers bring so much to this event; both in goodies and fun games but their information is invaluable! Be sure to take some time to stop by every table!
Our Memorial Wall and Placards put a face to this epidemic, as well as the lives that have been touched by this. Come for support and love and understanding if the opiod epidemic has touched your life! We welcome your stories and photos to remember your loved ones!
There will be tasty food. We have music to keep everything upbeat. Our favorite balloon artist will be here again this year to the delight of children of all ages. And as always, lots of giveaways and a place to find like-minded people who want to make a change in the world, one person at a time!
While you are here, save some time to do a bit of sidewalk shopping along the Denton Square! Many of these businesses support our cause and donate to make the event a success each year!
