North Star Film Festival August Kickoff Picnic - Day 2

Hello, Star Chasers! 😉
Join us for a casual BBQ/picnic-style kickoff gathering for the upcoming North Star Film Festival season!
This will be a relaxed chance to mingle, network, meet other filmmakers and creatives, ask questions about the season, and connect before the season officially gets busy.
Date: Sunday, August 23
Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, Pavilion 2
Parking: $7 vehicle permit
We have the pavilion booked from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but we’re planning to keep the event around 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM so it stays casual and manageable, with set up time starting at 10am. We may extend it a little if there is enough interest.
Food plan:
We’re planning to reach out to grocery stores and local businesses to see if we can get food, drinks, or supplies donated. If you’d like to make or bring any food, please feel free to let us know here!
A few notes:
Please RSVP if you can so we have a rough headcount for food.
Feel free to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, outdoor games, or anything that would make the day more comfortable.
Friends, family, and anyone interested in filmmaking are welcome.
If you have any dietary restrictions, please comment here so we can keep that in mind when planning food.
We’re also always looking for volunteers from the community to help make events like this possible. If you’d like to help with setup, food, supplies, greeting people, photos/videos, cleanup, or future North Star Film Festival events, please let us know!
