North Somerset Creatives - February 2026 Meeting - In Person

Are you creative? Do you work in the Creative Industry? A performer, musician, artist, designer, writer, illustrator? Do you live or work in North Somerset?

Join North Somerset Creatives; a gathering for local creatives to share ideas, collaborate and offer support. This member led initiative aims to create a gateway to collaboration, sharing of best practice, an inclusive and supportive environment to navigate challenges specific to our industry.

Happy New Year everyone, to kick us off this year, we are pleased to announce our next meeting will be in person hosted by The Old Town Quarry in Weston Super Mare on Thursday 26th February at 12midday.

Focusing on creative spaces, alongside a tour of the Quarry site, we will meet with Zara Lott from Artspace to introduce what they do at Artspace and plans for their new site at the Quarry.

We will also hear from Josyanne Clarke from North Somerset Council about how the site was funded and came into being.

There will also be chance for networking and chance for anyone to share current news, updates, opportunities and events with the group.

Following on from this, we will be traveling into town to visit We Are Super for another tour and to hear about support and working space they have on offer for creatives.

Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be provided, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

Access

The Old Town Quarry is situated on South Road, Weston Super Mare, BS23 2LS.

We will be meeting in the cafe area before heading out to The Cabin where Artspace is situated.

There is limited parking onsite for Cafe and site users. The Quarry encourages visitors to use public transport, cycle or walk to the site. There are cycle storage areas on site.

The site is on the number 9 bus route running from the Interchange in the town centre approx every 2 hours. It stops just outside the main quarry entrance gate.

There are 4 disabled parking bays at the Quarry site, ramps to outdoor toilets and clear access to cafe, shop and artist studios. However, this is mainly an outdoor/wild space although care has been taken to make it as accessible as possible, outdoor paths remain uneven in places.

Travel to We Are Super

We Are Super is situated at The Sovereign, High Street, Weston Super Mare, BS23 1HL.

Its approx 15mins walk from The Old Town Quarry to We Are Super / 5min drive.

Closest car-park would be The Sovereign Centre, St Margaret’s Terrace, BS23 1AH.
