Welcome 2026! It promises to be a great year for your optimism to shine through! We thank all our community supporters for making our numerous fall events so successful...these include the 4th Annual Local Artists and Children's 'Art From The Optimist Attic' Ladies Night at VYC, the annual sale of poinsettias and decorative swags, and the heartwarming Christmas Gift House at People Place. We look forward to what lies ahead with the soon to be announced Junior Good Citizen for 2026 in conjunction with our sponsor, Kidston Helm Ross LLP, Vernon Winter Carnival sponsorship including the Jam Can Curling and planning for future events like the Regional Heritage Fair, the opening of the Unplug and PLaY Boxes, the Neighbourhood Pop up Park Events and the SD22 Scholarships. Want to learn more about our active service organization or volunteer at any of our events? Leave us a message or join us at the business meeting starting at 6:30 on Jan 26. We are excited to continue our established activities as well as add some new opportunities for us to 'bring out the best in youth, our community and ourselves'!
