North Kensington Library Film Club: South Asian Heritage Month

This adaptation of Monica Ali’s Man Booker Prize-nominated novel is a vivid tragicomic tale of modern immigrant life. A poetic and sensitive drama about a Bangladesh village girl’s life in England and her brave struggle to stand on her own.

We will have tea, coffee and popcorn available. The film is around two hours long and there will be time afterwards for a chat.
