North Central Ohio - MEGA Construction Projects Overview & Matchmaker Event

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Division of Small Business & External Workforce Development is excited to host a unique matchmaking event for two upcoming ODOT construction projects in Erie County valued at more than $10 million each.

Project Description: The U.S. 6 Connectivity Corridor is from Cedar Point Drive within the city of Sandusky through the State Route 2 interchange with Rye Beach Road in the city of Huron. Project improvements include converting three signalized and two unsignalized intersections to roundabouts, section widening, extension of the Sandusky Bay Pathway in the city of Sandusky, and installation of a new multi-use path along U.S. 6 and Rye Beach Road to connect the Sandusky Bay Pathway to the city of Huron.

During this event, District 3 Project Manager(s) will present an overview of the upcoming projects before the matchmaking sessions begin. This is an opportunity for certified firms to have in-person appointments with Primes to market their services for ODOT heavy highway/construction projects. These meetings are designed to provide an excellent opportunity to discuss potential collaborations, particularly for projects with goals.

Sub-contractor firms are encouraged to bring business cards and copies of Capability Statements to this matchmaker event.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., presentation of projects at 10:30 a.m., and matchmaking appointments at 11 a.m.
