Join North Central College Fine & Performing Arts for “Everybody Thrashing” by the North Central College Department of Theatre!It’s 1518. July. Strasbourg. A woman begins to dance. She cannot stop. Over the next two months, around 400 people will join her. Roughly a fourth will dance until they die. This is the Dancing Plague of 1518. In this new play with music incorporating original text, Medieval writings, devised moments created by the ensemble, Everybody Thrashing explores this historical moment of group hysteria and how it connects with contemporary moments of group fervor, madness, and in some cases exaltation.
