All are welcome to attend our free August Community Cook Out at the North Cape Lutheran Pavilion on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 5-8pm. Bring your friends and neighbors to eat and spend some time together enjoying the outdoors. 2025 is our 175th year of ministry and we want to celebrate with our members and the whole community all summer long!
Our El Salvador Mission Team will be sponsoring the August meal. We will enjoy pork carnitas and papusas along with other authentic El Salvadoran foods. You won't want to miss this meal!
NOTE: We are offering alternatives to El Salvadoran foods during the 8/15 event. Hot dogs, salads and chips for those less adventurous eaters and children. However, the following is also very Americanized and not spicy:
Papusas- corn tortilla filled with beef, cheese and beans served with cabbage veggies and red sauce
Pork carnitas with rice and beans also not spicy
Pork Carnitas spicy
Carnitas will be served on flour tortillas with all the fixings of your choice.
Desserts are also being offered made by NCLC members.
