Step back almost 1,000 years into the world of the Normans as the Iron Shepherds Living History Group bring the early 1100s vividly to life inside the historic grounds of Appleby Castle.
Throughout the weekend the castle’s inner bailey will be transformed into a Norman encampment, where visitors can walk amongst warriors, craftspeople and cooks, experiencing everyday life in medieval England.
