About this Event
In recongnition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Court Appointed Special Advocates and The Temple School of Social Work invite you to a documentary screening of followed by a discussion session with the subject of the film.
For 10+ years Norman Jr. has happily raised his four daughters with his wife Danny, in New Jersey. However pent up childhood trauma from witnessing his mother’s brutal M**der, at the young age of six, forces him to travel to Jamaica to confront the father he hasn’t seen since the day of the M**der, more than 30 years before.
Weaving together intimate verité footage with probing interviews, we follow Norman’s journey to discovering the truth behind the tragic crime that has shaped his entire life.
Insightful, moving and empathetic, NORMAN/NORMAN offers a complex exploration of guilt, vulnerability, reconciliation and the transformative power of forgiveness and love.
