Norfolk State University - Sanders Washington Fellowship Launch

The Edward Sanders Washington Scholars Program was recently established to create meaningful opportunities for deserving students from Norfolk State University to gain firsthand experience in public service through internships in Washington, D.C. By helping to fund housing, transportation, and related expenses, the program will allow talented young scholars to participate in internships that might otherwise be financially out of reach.

This special event will bring together civic leaders, educators, alumni, and supporters who share a commitment to expanding educational access and preparing the next generation of leaders.

About Edward Sanders -

Edward Sanders serves on the Board of Trustees for Norfolk State University. A past White House and State Department employee, Edward has focused the last decade on entrpreneurial endeavors, including instructing the next generation of business leaders on getting their businesses off the ground at entrepreneurship programs at Howard University and the UNCF. Having completed three Washington, D.C. internships as an undergraduate, he has been committed to helping young scholars secure internships. His work has helped place over 100 interns.
