Nordic Literature Week “Evening Read Aloud” at Petersen House

Join people from across the world as we read aloud from three books on the same day. Enjoy the voices of our readers as you wander through this glowing Victorian home and celebrate its connection with Denmark and other Nordic countries.
This event brings people together in a cozy, relaxing atmosphere to listen to the Nordic books selected for 2026: one each for children, young adults, and adults. Light refreshments and live string music round out the evening. Most readings will be in English, but you may hear readers speaking Danish, Finnish, and Swedish.
Good for all ages. Free admission, no registration necessary. Donations welcome! Petersen House is located at 1414 W. Southern Ave., Tempe. Parking is limited, carpooling and ridesharing encouraged.
