Norber Erratics

This nearly 7-mile (11km) circular walk starts in the pretty Yorkshire Dales village of Clapham. Our route takes us along walled lanes and across green fields to visit the Norber erratics - boulders deposited as glaciers retreated, perched on the hillside above Austwick. We pass through stunning limestone scenery and into historic, charming villages of Clapham, Wharfe and Austwick.
The terrain is a mix of farmland paths, limestone pavement , and tarmac roads. There are some tiles on this route. It is a relatively gentle route with just 785ft / 240m of climb. We will take this day at a gentle pace and expect it to take around 4 hours (including rest / lunch breaks).
Well behaved, friendly (with other dogs and people), agile dogs are welcome (max. 2 per person).
This small-group guided walk is professionally led by Abi, a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance. Booking is essential, places are limited and cost £15 per person.
