The SouthCoast Community Foundation’s NRN official Kick-off for South Coast regional funders, September 25, 4:00-5:00pm
About this Event

The SouthCoast Community Foundation invites nonprofit consultants serving the South Coast region to a special open house launching the Nonprofit Resilience Network (NRN), a new, permanent initiative designed to strengthen the nonprofit ecosystem by supporting nonprofits, funders, and consultants alike.

As a consultant, your expertise plays a vital role in helping organizations grow stronger, more effective, and more sustainable. Through the NRN, we aim to create a more connected, resourced, and collaborative environment for your work.

What to Expect at the Open House

  • Tour our newly updated Learning Center convening space.
  • Learn how the NRN was built in response to nonprofit, funder, and consultant input.
  • Preview upcoming training opportunities and collaborative spaces for consultants.
  • Share your feedback on how the NRN can best support your practice and expand your impact.
  • Connect with other consultants and potential partners.

Accessibility

The Foundation’s offices are located at 350 Union Street in New Bedford, in a historic mid-1800s home. Free on-street parking and a small lot are available.

Please note: entry requires walking up five stairs, and some doorways may be narrower than modern standards. We recognize this limits participation and are actively prioritizing facility upgrades. If you have questions or need assistance before or during your visit, please contact us at [email protected].

Nonprofit Resilience Network Overview

The Nonprofit Resilience Network (NRN) deepens our longstanding commitment to strengthening South Coast nonprofits, the organizations that deliver the vital services our communities rely on every day.

Built directly in response to what local nonprofits told us they need most, the NRN offers support beyond grants—through learning opportunities, strategic partnerships, and practical tools that help organizations grow and lead.

The NRN provides nonprofits with:

  • Grants and organizational support.
  • A place to gather, learn, and connect.
  • Access to 1:1 coaching and consulting.
  • Free online resources and data to guide decision-making.
  • Technical assistance grants to strengthen operations and build long-term capacity.

How the NRN supports consultants:

  • Training opportunities for consultants new to the field and those with deeper experience.
  • Support in running a consulting business, including back-end tools and shared practices.
  • Access to a network of like-minded consultants, funders, and nonprofit partners
  • Opportunities to engage in collaborative projects, peer learning, and visibility across the region.

The NRN also fosters meaningful collaboration among nonprofits, funders, and consultants, helping to strengthen the entire South Coast nonprofit ecosystem.
