About this Event
The Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence (NICNE) invites area nonprofit organizations, NICNE Members, and friends to gather on June 18 to share ways that we can support your work.
The NICNE board will also announce plans for the future leadership of NICNE.
We will close with a celebration of Founder and CEO, Pamela Clark Reidenbach, who will be retiring on June 30 after leading NICNE for the past 22 years!
All are welcome to attend, and we look forward to gathering with friends, both longtime and new, as we honor this milestone and look ahead to the future.
Heavy appetizers and a cash bar will be available.

Nonprofit Dialogue & Board Presentation (3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Jeff Fahrenwald, Vice President of NICNE’s Board of Directors, will facilitate focused dialogue with area organizations and NICNE Members to learn about the issues that you are facing, opportunities for impact, and how we can support the sector over the next year and beyond.
NICNE prides itself on more than two decades of being responsive to the needs of the sector; This is an opportunity to help us serve you more effectively, learn from peers, and directly influence our programs and collaborative initiative work to meet the needs of the sector and the broader community.
Afterwards, NICNE’s Board of Directors will share updates and plans for future leadership of NICNE.
Celebration! (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) Join us for a special retirement celebration honoring Pamela Clark Reidenbach, Founder and CEO of NICNE, who will retire on June 30 after 22 years of extraordinary service to NICNE, and more than 35 years of service to broader nonprofit sector and our community.
Pam’s impact on our community has been profound. Over a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years in the nonprofit sector, her leadership has helped shape the way we serve, convene, lead, and collaborate to address our community’s most pressing challenges. Her work has been guided by a steadfast commitment to meeting community needs, demonstrating moral courage, standing up for what is right, and inspiring others to come together to create meaningful change.
Pam’s leadership has been defined by her ability to take on complex structural challenges within the nonprofit sector and transform them into opportunities for growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability. Equally important have been her gifts for building authentic relationships and fostering collaboration that strengthen public trust and our social fabric. Throughout her career, she has cultivated lasting friendships and professional partnerships that continue to make a meaningful difference across the region.
We hope many friends, colleagues, partners, and community members will join us as we celebrate Pam’s remarkable service, leadership, and legacy, and uplift the future of NICNE!
