About this Event
Debate over the proposed development at 108 Water Street raises bigger questions facing Norwalk: How do we balance housing and infrastructure growth with environmental concerns? What truly counts as sustainable development? How can individuals mitigate some of the ongoing risks in climate change?
Norwalk’s goal of becoming a ‘green city’ remains challenging, as seemingly opposing forces seek solutions that will protect our community and its natural resources. But is this an “either/or” situation? Can we achieve both?
In this NoN Talks, we’ve invited local leaders to discuss how everyone – concerned citizens, developers, environmentalists and city planners – can work to achieve this goal.
Join us on April 21 for a conversation with:
· Louise Washer, President, Norwalk River Watershed Association
· Alanna Morque, Chief of Staff, Spinnaker Real Estate Partners
· Jodi Trendler, Directory of Sustainability, City of Norwalk
