NOMAS PSU | Architecture Career Fair Networking Lunch Hour

Join us in NOMA PDX & NOMAS PSU's SECOND annual spring architecture informal career fair lunch hour at PSU (Rm 212) to build the bridge between students and professionals.

This is a casual tabling session where students can easily connect with local professionals and learn about local firms. Students there will be FREE FOOD!! For the hour students can meander through tables of each firm or entity to learn more about the available open positions or just general career advice.

Firms:

• HOLST - design firm with studios in Portland, OR and Minneapolis, MN.

Non-Profit & Professional Organizations:

• Architecture Foundation of Oregon - They regularly grant PSU Arch students scholarships and have collaborated with NOMA to conduct workshops for Arch portfolios and resumes -

How to Sign Up:

NOMA PDX (The Portland Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects) was founded by 3 Latina PSU Students in 2020 while studying Architecture in hopes of fostering a wider community of global majority but industry minority students and professionals (Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, SWANA & People of Color etc. )

In Oregon there are only 6 architects that are listed on the The Directory of African American Architects which not only speaks to the larger issue about lack of representation in the Architecture industry nationwide but here locally. Let's try to fix that by building students networks of support.
