As Kansas City stands on the verge of large-scale urban development, we invite you to reflect on the policies and programs that shaped the city we live in today.

The first part of this documentary focuses on Kansas City's Highway 71 and the true cost of urban renewal. It tells the story of integration in the Santa Fe Place neighborhood, one example of the national fight for housing rights following the Great Depression. Together, we'll explore the legacy of discriminatory housing policies and celebrate the pioneers who helped break down those barriers.
