When Noir works, it explodes with Character Chemistry. Do you find your characters sizzle with the other characters in the story? Here’s a chance to dig into that. A great playground for character-based work, Noir often follows Keith Johnstone’s suggestion: get the main character into trouble and make it worse, and who makes things worse? – often other people.

We’ll work on making strong connections, and, because Noir is a genre with heat, tension and humor, we’ll practice taking risks, being charming, making banter and provoking to the boiling point. This one-night workshop will touch on some noir story fundamentals: heists and capers, doomed lovers and finding the fly in the web. Come play in the shadows!

We have community standards, a conflict process, and a COVID prevention policy in place. Agreement/acceptance of these policies is required to participate in BATS classes. Refunds / Transfers / Exchanges

All sales are final. If you’re unable to attend class, please notify BATS Improv before the class begins to receive credit toward a different class. Credits are not prorated for individual missed classes within a series.

If BATS Improv cancels a class, you may choose between a credit toward a different class or a refund to your original payment method.
