Noe Valley Girls Film Festival 2026

The Noe Valley Girls Film Festival’s ("NVGFF") mission is to encourage young girls to make movies with the goal of creating a new generation of movie makers, promoting the Noe Valley community, and encouraging young women in the film industry and beyond. Our program is entirely student run by team members from across the Bay Area coming together to create community and inspire young female filmmakers in Noe Valley. On Saturday August 22, we will have our 11th annual film festival where we will screen the girls finalists’ films, hear about producing and the world of moviemaking from our guest speaker, and announce winners. Traditionally, NVGFF has drawn an audience of approximately 200 people who have watched 20 films selected from local, national, and international submissions. and in the past we have been featured in Time for Kids, the San Francisco Chronicle as well as our own Noe Valley Voice!

We hope to see you at this year's festival! This event is especially kid-friendly, so be sure to invite any children or families who would enjoy the festival. We have many snacks and comfortable seating for children so it's the perfect Saturday activity for families!
