About the Artist:

VantaBlack is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in narrative truth-telling via figurative portraiture and woven assemblage to explore the intricacies of Black womanhood. VantaBlack's work encodes subversive forms of royalty and resistance, challenging dominant narratives while celebrating resilience and identity.
