No Superman Required: Book Launch & Community Conversation
What happens when you stop waiting to be saved and finally choose yourself?
I wrote this book because for a long time, I was trying to figure out who I was beneath survival mode, achievement, fear, faith, and the pressure to hold everything together. And I know I'm not the only one
Join me for an intimate afternoon of reflection, conversation, selected readings, and community as I share the journey behind my memoir, No Superman Required.
I was born in Guyana, shaped by life in Trinidad and Tobago, and continued to grow through experiences in the United States. But this memoir is deeper than geography. It's about identity, healing, faith, resilience, and learning that no one is coming to save you, and that maybe that's where freedom begins.
This conversation is for anyone who has ever felt lost while trying to appear strong, struggled with identity or belonging, carried responsibilities quietly, questioned their worth, or tried to heal while still surviving.
This is a one-time, intimate gathering. Come ready for honest conversation, real reflection, and the kind of connection that stays with you.
📖 Book signing following the conversation.
