NO/STALGIA Group Collage Show 

copresented by Pacific Northwest Collage Collective and Art at the Cave April 4-26

Pacific Northwest Collage Collective and Art at the Cave co-present NO/STALGIA a group show of collage artists from around the world. The show features 144 works by 88 artists. including established international artist as well as emerging local artists celebrating the wild generosity of the collage community. The show examines the simultaneous relationship of collage artists to history and the contemporary moment. The show features analog collage video assemblage and a stunning 8 foot section of Portland telephone pole full of staples and archival flyer remains.

Collage has been an integral part of political movements during times of artistic rebellion and cultural renewal. From Dada and surrealism to punk and street art NO/STALGIA celebrates the potential of collage as an accessible and democratic medium.

Art at the Cave is a gallery in Vancouver which hosts solo and group art shows as well as a range of community events including Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic. There will be two free collage meetups during the month of April. The gallery is open Tuesday-Thursday 11-5 and Friday-Saturday 11-6.
