FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Democratic Women of Fayette County to Host "No Kings 2.0 Rally" to Denounce Oligarchy and Dictatorial Power
UNIONTOWN, PA – The Democratic Women of Fayette County proudly announce the "No Kings 2.0 Rally", a powerful public demonstration to stand up vigorously against the forces of oligarchy and to defend the foundational principles of American democracy. This vital event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the George C. Marshall Plaza in Uniontown, PA.
This rally is urgently happening as a resounding call to action for all who believe in the promise of a government of the people, by the people, for the people. The growing, egregious encroachment of wealthy special interests and the alarming, autocratic actions of the current administration demand that citizens speak up—and speak up now—to protect the republic.
“We are gathering at the George C. Marshall Plaza, a site honoring a man who organized for democracy and against tyranny, to send a united message: No King Since 1776!” stated Tracy Wilson the President of the Democratic Women of Fayette County. “We are witnessing a brazen, dangerous erosion of our checks and balances. We will not stand idly by and watch this dictator take over our country."
The "No Kings 2.0 Rally" will feature local community leaders and passionate speakers who will forcefully articulate the urgent need to resist an oligarchical system that prioritizes power and wealth over the well-being of the working class and the integrity of democratic institutions. Attendees are encouraged to passionately bring signs, flags, and their voices to clearly demonstrate their commitment to the core American ideal that no one is above the law.
