Monterey Park is a city rooted in immigrants—built by generations of people who came here seeking dignity, opportunity, and a voice. That history lives on today. Our community has long provided space for people from all backgrounds to gather, speak out, and stand together, and this moment is no different.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has grown into a sustained movement grounded in community care and collective strength. In Monterey Park, we come together to create a safe place to express what so many are feeling—fear, anger, hope, and determination—while lifting one another up.
When our families are under attack and rising costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. The MPK community stands as a platform for all who believe in justice, dignity, and democracy.
On March 28th, we rise together. We take to the streets rooted in our shared history and values, and we say it clearly: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We are not just watching history happen—we are shaping it, together.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de‑escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
