Please register on Mobilize at: https://mobilize.us/s/qAuq4pWe have the power and are claiming it together. NO THRONES. NO CROWNS. NO KINGS.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
📢Where: Williamsburg James City County Courthouse, located at 5201 Monticello Avenue, Williamsburg, VA.
📢When: March 28, 2026 at 2pm..
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
This event is being hosted by Williamsburg JCC Indivisible and Indivisible Essex.
📢Our speakers include:
Herb Jones, Retired U.S. Army Colonel and combat veteran, Former Treasurer of New Kent County, Board Chair of the Williamsburg-James City County Community Action Agency, and Member of the Disabled American Veterans;

📢 How to Prepare for Your Event:
✅ Bring signs or props → Make your message visible! It's a good rule of thumb to create signs that do not use sticks or anything else for support that can be perceived as a weapon. Poster Boards and other supplies can be purchased at the Dollar Tree (one of the companies that still has a DEI policy.) 📢
IDEAS FOR SIGNS:
-NO KINGS IN AMERICA
-NO MAD KINGS ALLOWED!!!
-THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DIVIDED
-WE ARE NOT YOUR PIGGY BANK!
-THE FLAG BELONGS TO ALL OF US
-WE ARE "ANGELS OF DEMOCRACY"
-THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!
-STOP THE SHAKEDOWN!
-WE ARE NOT FOR SALE!
✅ Recruit friends → The more people, the more power.
✅ Record everything → Post photos/videos with #NoKings #NoKingsWilliamsburg
✅There is NOT a bathroom available at the Courthouse. Please use the facilities beforehand.

✅Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a chair if needed.
✅WHATEVER CONTAINER YOU BRING HOLDING YOUR ESSENTIALS, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED!
📢COMMUNITY NORMS: Please read before attending one of our events.
ALL OF OUR ACTIONS WILL BE PEACEFUL, RESPECTFUL and SAFE!!! NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED!!!
Remember, when attending a Williamsburg JCC Indivisible event, your actions represent our group, and you are expected to conform to the Community Norms. Safety is a top priority for our attendees. Please remain out of the median, per instructions from the police. Being in the median puts us at risk and potentially drivers as well. If an Urgent Situation arises, we will raise a straight arm with our Hand in a Fist to ask for Silence. PLEASE DO THE SAME TO QUIET THE CROWD. This way we can quickly relay an important message to all.
We wish to remind everyone that we do not react to those drivers who make it clear they do not support us by aggravating them through screaming obscenities or making certain hand gestures. We do not want to enrage them and potentially make everyone, including other drivers, less safe. It is easier to wave at everyone and say, “Have a nice day.”
PLEASE DO NOT BLOW WHISTLES UNLESS I.C.E. ARE PRESENT. The purpose of the whistles is to alert the public to be vigilant. Otherwise, blowing them can falsely alert the crowd to a danger that does not exist!
At our events, please do not hold signs or otherwise promote other events that Williamsburg JCC Indivisible is not hosting. You may be placing a potential legal liability onto our group that we are NOT willing to accept.
Please do not engage in DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOURS!
If you are asked to stop engaging in activities which are disrupting an event to the point people are complaining to the hosts that they are experiencing physical or emotional trauma, it is expected that you will be respectful of others and follow our Community Norms and stop those behaviours. Loud noises, such as, but not limited to, cowbells, horns, etc., are usually deployed by counter-protesters to disrupt an event, not by attendees participating in an event. If you refuse to disengage from such thoughtless behaviours, do not ruin the event for everyone else - please be kind and leave!
As with our previous events, the same rules apply. We will not engage with counter-protesters. If an issue arises, please notify one of the event organizers, who will be wearing Williamsburg JCC Indivisible T-shirts and Yellow No Kings Bandanas. We will not engage in any acts of violence or violation of any applicable laws or engage in civil disobedience. All actions will be peaceful. Everyone participating in this event will be required to behave lawfully to ensure the safety of event participants and will seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We will obey the orders of authorized event marshals and law enforcement authorities. Event organizers will not be responsible for any injury or damage if any were to occur during this event.
Each individual is responsible for the consequences of their actions and attends at their own risk.
We will park in the Courthouse parking lot without blocking access lanes and will remove any trash that is left. We are committed to maintaining public health measures to practice safe protesting during these times. Please wear a mask and socially distance if that makes you more comfortable - weigh your own risk in attending. Follow all local safety guidelines at minimum, and any safety instructions from hosts that exceed local law.
