On Saturday, October 18, 2025, millions of Americans are poised to converge across the country in No Kings 2, a nationwide day of protest and defiance. Organized through collaborations between Indivisible, the 50501 Movement, and allied grassroots groups, this is a sequel to the historic June 14 protests, aimed at resisting the growing authoritarianism of the Trump administration.
During the June 14 protests (branded as a “Day of Defiance”) over 2,000 cities hosted No Kings demonstrations. Organizers estimate turnout of ~6 million people nationwide — making it the single largest one-day protest in modern U.S. history.
The “No Kings” protests serve as a direct response to continued authoritarian moves by the Trump administration — actions pushing the United States toward a “Fascist America.”
This movement channels both historical memory and present alarm.
We are taking action in the face of a president who is despoiling and destroying American democracy, American economy, American science and learning, and American culture.
We cannot allow the erosion of checks and balances, civic freedoms, independent institutions, and due process to define America’s future.
