About this Event
3 of coins - one collective: three multimedia artists. This group is well-versed and professionally trained - creating works that endure any space. The first showcase is an homage to the Major Arcana.
The created works are captivating, vast, and unique.
Artists.
Dara Krein
My latest series of work explores the opposite of the mundane. An abstract approach that provides a tangible body. Strong contrast, saturated colors, and distinct line work with stylized cell shading could be a way to describe my work in terms of application. The subject of my work often consists of figures in gestural or sometimes active poses. Figurative being perhaps a loose term, as some figures are highly distorted yet in an orderly and organic fashion. In the way cells can be orderly and create larger patterns; individually each cell differs.
Jason Trotter
Multi-disciplinary artist specializing in printmaking, with a strong emphasis on stenciling and mixed media. Twenty years of professional experience having exhibited works within Canada and internationally
Brendan Browne
Using a large variety of media and surfaces, I focus mainly on 2-dimensional work. Spray paint, wood stain, charcoal, marker, and acrylic paint being my most utilized media. I consider myself a drawer. I have also worked in digital with both 2D and 3D works for film and web applications.
My work is best described as figurative and is illustrative realism. Using imaginative spaces and places with reference to realistic phenomena that exist in nature.
