No Frills Retreat Mini Retreat: May 31 - June 3, 2024

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Would you like to get right to the good part and start stitching without all the frills? We’ve got the perfect retreat for those who could do without the pajama parties or grass skirts. This time it’s all about quilting, plain and simple.

Enjoy a leisurely weekend retreat. The schedule is entirely up to you. You will arrive on a Friday at 4:00 pm and you can stay up at the Mini Retreat Center until 11:00 am checkout on Monday. Feel free to sew as long as you like, shop at a dozen themed MSQC quilt shops, and enjoy delicious local cuisine or cook your own meals in the kitchen.

Gather up your nearest and dearest quilting pals and head to Hamilton for a fun-filled quilting retreat. Shop, sew, relax, and do a little more sewing while you enjoy all that this remarkable town has to offer. Book now because spots are going quickly!

Groups of four or more can reserve the entire Mini Retreat Center upon approval. Please contact us if you want to reserve this spot for a group of four or more, up to eight people.

You can bring your unfinished projects from home, or drop in at our stores in town to purchase anything you may want to start something new. PLUS.....our sewing/activity and kitchen areas are available for you to use 24 hrs. a day!  And, when you're ready to turn in, you'll sleep like a log in our comfy, cozy beds.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Mini Retreat Center is on the second floor. You can access the center during the day by using the elevator betweem 9 am and 5 pm each day.  You must be able to navigate the stairs to be able to stay in this location.

NO PRIVATE ROOMS.

Ages 18 and over please. 

Our sleeping room has 8 beds and can accomodate up to 8 attendees. It is on the second floor above One Big Happy and is accessible via stairs or an elevator during the day. This is a shared room with 8 beds available. There are two individual, private bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet and sink, just steps away from the sleeping room. You will also have access to a kitchen and a small dining area.

We are located 15 minutes east of I-35 and MO Hwy 36, approximately 60 miles north of Kansas City. If you are flying in, you'll want to fly into Kansas City International airport.  We are a little over an hour from the airport.

+ Personal sewing lamp (optional)
