About Our Ride Leaders
Michaela is a running scientist by day and a cyclist by night! As a PhD student on a budget, she's mastered the art of affordable and accessible biking adventures. She serves as an RBC Whistler Granfondo ambassador and has coached the Women's Intro to Road Biking clinic. Above all, Michaela is passionate about supporting and educating riders - always eager to grow the cycling community, especially for underrepresented groups.
Kelsi is a scientist by trade, but spends her free time exploring the Lower Mainland on two wheels. After a few years of urban cycling and bike commuting, Kelsi got her first road bike in 2024 and never looked back (except to shoulder check). She is excited to be leading group rides with Samsara, and making space for women and gender diverse folks to participate in sport.
Linda leads HR for a local tech company supporting nonprofits, but spends most of her free time on two wheels (usually in a matching kit right down to the socks). A longtime run leader turned cyclist, she started road cycling in 2020 after her husband convinced her to train for a cycling trip to Italy. Linda is a proud Strava geek, loves planning her next cycling adventures in places like Europe and South America, and somehow keeps finding herself riding hills she swears she doesn’t enjoy. She’s excited to support more women in cycling and help create rides where people feel encouraged, confident, and capable of hard things.
Annie was born in New Zealand, before moving to the UK and then eventually to Canada. She is new to the world of cycling, having only started on a road bike in 2025. Throughout 2025, she rode almost every Samsara weekly ride, meeting many, many wonderful women, and is now excited to become a brand new ride leader this season.
