Did you know that the proposed data center in the Town of Beloit would be hooking up to BELOIT CITY WATER?! What do you think that will do to our water rates when the city is pumping water for a data center? How much wear and tear will this cause to our city's water system infrastructure? What are the possibilities for contamination and pollution of our water supply?! Can the city wells handle that increased need? How will it affect surrounding wells? How will having a data center just north of town affect EMS/Fire response for Beloit? How will that air, light, and sound pollution affect our residents?
Now is the time to start asking city hall to address these concerns. Now before it's built.
Join us at the next Beloit City Council meeting this Monday, April 6 to start asking these questions in person! City Council meets at 6p at City Hall. Public Comments are limited to three minutes each and can be on any topic. The councilors will not be responding, but they will be listening and your comments will be written into the public record.
