Dahmer's Breakfast: Transgender Antifolk

Antifolk is characterized as a musical style that “promotes song-writing over technique and personality over polish. Some see it as the evolution of folk, others as a combination on punk and folk.” Dahmer’s performances often feature outrageous outfits and projections of homemade videos. Described by others as “feel bad music,” Dahmer’s Breakfast’s songs highlight dark and unfortunate themes, such as how the Rockefeller’s started Big Pharma, the discomfort of sharing a last name with a notorious serial killer, and other instances of self-deprecating humor.

Blackbird: Flower Flogger

Flower Flogger is an immersive performance that merges balloon, kinetic sculpture, and video into a shifting, sensorial environment. It plays with the language of seduction, humor, and vulnerability, transforming everyday objects into agents of intimacy and play. Through inflating and deflating forms, flower arrangements, and choreographed movements, Blackbird creates a stage where bodies and materials are fluid and connected.
