About this Event
Join us for a panel exploring the relationship audiences have with Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s work through tattooing. Co-curators Charlotte Ickes and Josh T Franco will be in conversation with four people who have chosen to express their appreciation for Gonzalez-Torres and his work by getting tattoos: art historian Julia Bryan-Wilson, writer Alicia Inez Guzman, curator Meg Onli, and Gonzalez-Torres’s nephew Mario Gonzalez. We look forward to a fantastic conversation about art, the body, memory and the unexpected.
The Portrait Gallery strives to provide programs that are accessible to all visitors. If you have questions about the accessibility of this program, or if you would like to request real-time captioning (CART), sign language interpretation, or any other accommodations, please contact [email protected]. Two weeks' advance notice is appreciated for requesting accommodations.
