A note from Richard:
Well, we'll well, here we are again, already another year gone, and what a year 2026 has been. It has been two years since I started these courses.
With so much paint, and so many students, a new class location, and multiple class locations, it's been, as the instructor, such a fun and wild ride.
With the completion of two years of Paint Classes 1 am finally hosting a class that has been the most requested Painting class by far: NMM.
You read that correctly; this final class for the year 2026, I'll be going over Non-Metallic Metal, or NMM. With this class, we will be going over nearly 500 years of history with the painting technique, starting with oil painting from artists like Rembrandt, Eyck, and Caravaggio in their use of white and black that captures the realistic look of armor. Next, we will be going over light and its role in the technique. Students will learn on small surfaces and bits before moving on to a full model.
I am anticipating this class to be a big one, as it's the most requested and one of those techniques that you will only get better as you apply it more.
This class will be taking place on the 24th of October at Rivals in Mishawaka, IN.
I can't wait to see you all.
Where is it happening?
