Join the Guildhall Library for a model talk exploring the history of the 1666 Great Fire of London.
About this Event

The Great Fire of London 1666 was the worst fire in London’s history. It destroyed a large part of the City of London, including most of the civic buildings, old St Paul’s Cathedral, 87 parish churches, and about 13,000 houses.

Using the London Model to contextualise the spread of the fire, this model talk will explore the rapid development of the fire and how it changed the face of London. There will be an opportunity to view a variety of original sources and contemporary accounts held in the library.
