Nisenan Language Revival: A family discussion led by Alan Wallace. Alan Wallace is a descendent of the Nisenan people native to part of Northern CA. There is one living documented Nisenan speaker in Oregon. Wallace is working to preserve the Nisenan language through art.
This is a special event in conjunction with Ba'Mamu/Lincoln exhibit "Rising Together: A Nisenan Family, Ancestral Memory and Contemporary Expression. Featuring Paintings, Drawings, Photos, Regalia. On exhibit July 11 - August 25th, 2024.
