NIRAV SANGHANI AND THE PACIFIC SIX:Led by longtime musician and swing dancer Nirav Sanghani, Nirav Sanghani and the Pacific Six plays tight arrangements of early jazz and swing tunes for dancers and listeners. Their repertoire includes transcriptions of small group swing recordings by Benny Goodman, Johnny Hodges, and Coleman Hawkins, fresh arrangements of well-loved standards, and vintage-inspired originals composed and arranged by Nirav. Another great band for Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag, the Pacific Six has been playing for live audiences since 2017 and released albums in 2019 and 2022 (both available on Bandcamp).

WOODCHOPPER'S BALL:
The Woodchopper's Ball, San Francisco's swing hot spot, is a weekly Tuesday night swing dance event held at the historic Verdi Club in San Francisco's Mission district. Named after the classic 1939 swing tune by the Woody Herman Orchestra (and their biggest hit!), it features monthly classes, a full bar (21+ only), and a dance party with a drop-in lesson and the largest variety of live swing dance music in town!
