Eight-Pound Pug
Eighty-pound Pug was formed by Alex Lozupone in 2013 as an experiment to see how far he could take public improvised cohesive composition. The band consists of Lozupone and any musicians he knows are capable of delivering high energy, coherent improvised songs - including vocals, poetry, horns, drums, piano, performance art. The band's 2015 release with Steve Dalachinsky, Leave The Door Open, was listed on Culture Catch's best albums of 2015.
Milf & Dilf
The duo of Sharissa, a spacesuit-like washboard and singer, and Gerry, a keyboard and singer, captivate audiences with their unique arrangements of bizarre true stories, from UFO encounters to abandoned sex toys. Maybe they themselves are aliens, or they are simply servants of their cat, but you will have to make sure about it with your own eyes and ears at the time!
S.N.B. (Shu Nakamura Band)
A trio rock band consisting of Shu Nakamura, a Japanese artist based in Brooklyn, Derek Cheever on bass/vox and Anand Gan on drums/vox. The band performs Shu's original compositions ranging from heavy psychedelic, funk, and jazzy tunes to comical and pop variety. If you are lucky Shu might even come to your seat to play his guitar!
