Nina Kristofferson celebrates Billie Holiday, the Queen of Jazz, marking the 66th anniversary of her passing with timeless classics jazz.
About this Event

This year marks the 66th anniversary of the US singing legend Billie Holiday’s tragic death at the young age of 44. The Queen of Jazz, Lady Day’s music has been honoured by the International Award Singing Jazz & Opera sensation, Nina Kristofferson ‘Skilfully integrating, a faithful account – Must-see, Tour-de-force’ Jazzwise Magazine from Nina Kristofferson’s London West End in 2013 sold-out run and Award Winning Show.


Nina Kristofferson is back by popular demand with her stunningly sublime vocals, capturing Lady Day’s music, her mental health, the drugs, alcoholism, love, racism, her relationship with men, the abuse she suffered by those who took advantage of her exposing what drove her and finally killed her.

Accompanied by Allan Rogers (Pianist and MD) from the Strictly Come Dancing Arena Tours.

Nina Kristofferson is an accomplished actress and singer of many styles encompassing Shakespeare, Jazz & Blues to Opera. Some of Nina’s extensive theatre and TV credits include playing Billie Holiday in “Nina Kristofferson’s Billie Holiday Story” (West End, Latitude Festival & No. 1 Tour), Mrs Vanderkieft in The Sting (Wiltons Music Hall’, Medea in “Medea” (Northern Broadsides UK tour), Bess in “Porgy & Bess” (USA), Cleopatra in “Anthony & Cleopatra” (Birmingham), Liz Imbrie “In High Society” (Regent’s Park & West End) Paula Symons in “Doctors” for the BBC, Valerie Ronson in World of Darkness Documentary Feature Film and a Voice Over Artiste for Commercials and Games. Nina has been involved in countless Photo Shoots, Corporate Events and is a Session Singer. With performances at Pitlochry’s Festival Theatre’s 2024 playing Fanny Dashwood & Mrs Jennings in Sense & Sensibility, Janelle Woods in Beautiful – Carol King Musical and Ethel McCormack in Footloose along with playing the piano in both musicals (Keys 1, 2 & 3). Elaine The Stranger in Our Bed Film (Buffalo Dragon), Self/Nina Kristofferson in Food For Thought (Documentary Feature Film, Figi Productions), Cristina Barcello in Love Thou Art My Soul an (NK Productions – first short film).

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Allan Rogers (Pianist and MD) is also the MD on the Strictly Come Dancing Arena Tour at the O2 and Wembley Arena. He has enjoyed a long and varied career as a session musician and Musical Director, working with artists such as Cillack, Marti Caine, Cliff Richard, Petula Clark, and recently Music Associate for Elaine Paige and Russell Watson. Allan’s TV credits include Record Breakers, Generation Game, Stars in Their Eyes, and One Night with Rod Stewart. Theatre credits include ‘Time’ starring Cliff Richard (Dominion Theatre), ‘A Clockwork Orange’ (RSC, working with Bono and The Edge of U2 on the score), ‘Flamenka’ (Lyric Theatre) and ‘Liberace Live from Heaven’ (Leciester Square Theatre).
