Come dance with us in Nijmegen on Sunday November 8th for our monthly social dance: NimmaHop! This edition we have a collaboration with Gelre Blues. The amazing Renske Bongers will be teaching an all level Blues workshop and an absolute beginners Blues taster class before the social. The social will be a Lindy hop social with a touch of Blues!
13:00 - 15:00 All level Blues workshop with Renske
15:00 - 16:00 Blues taster class for complete beginners with Renske
16:00 - 18:30 Social dancing to DJ music
Check out the workshop and taster description below. More information on registration will follow soon!
13.00 - 15.00: The music and you!
In this themed class we dive into the playful riffs, the groovy tunes and signature phrases in Blues music. Not only creating footwork options, but play with different centers in your body and use it as a whole. Next we will work on how to incorporate it in our partner dancing.
*This class is open level. At least some blues basics or understanding of blues dancing are required.
15.00 - 16.00: Blues beginners taster
In this taster class we introduce you in the lovely world of Blues! Building the dancing up from the Blues aesthetics we will work on finding your groove and play together in partner dancing.
*This class is for absolute beginners, but even if you have experience, this class will still be a whole lot of fun! ;)
Location: Salsa Tipica @ De Kolk 14, Nijmegen
Entrance for the social is free, but we ask for a donation so that we can continue to organise these events.
Please only dance on clean shoes, suitable for a dancefloor, and do not put any powder or coating under your shoes. If you do, it might cost us a lot of money or result in us no longer being able to use the venue.
NimmaHop is happening every 2nd Sunday of the month, so put it in your calenders!
