Nighttime Firefly Survey

There are more species of firefly found in Florida than any other state in the country. After a brief classroom presentation, join LEC staff as we venture into Lyonia Preserve in search of these bioluminescent beetles. This program is dependent on weather. Please wear close-toed shoes, bring water, and be prepared to walk on sugar sand trails. Flashlights or headlamps with a red light filter are required; all other supplies will be provided. This program is intended for adults. Registrationi is requuired and limited.
