Do you like the idea of a book club...but don't have quite enough time to delve into a book each month? Try this noble quest...Meet at MMPL's Round Table at the West end of the library by the nonfiction section for a guided and informal group discussion. Each Night at the Round Table conversation is based on a theme or idea and led by a moderator from the community.
Each session begins by introducing an article/book excerpt; video; or piece of audio. Afterwards, participants will talk about that material, using provided questions and following their own curiosity and group thought process.

DISCUSSION THEME
"The Wonder Years: Growing Older, Wiser, & More Aware"
Drawing from his book "Humility: The Secret History of a Lost Virtue", Dr. Christopher Bellitto explores the spiritual and cultural significance of growing older.
In this recorded conversation, he and moderator, Sister Kathleen Atkinson, reflect on the intersection of aging, wisdom, and humility. Grounded in historical and spiritual insights, the conversation examines how aging can lead to deeper self-awareness, acceptance, and connection to others.
Bellitto highlights how humility has evolved across time and traditions, positioning it as a countercultural virtue that offers strength rather than weakness.
Following the recording, participants will reflect on what it means to reconsider assumptions about aging and to explore the role of humility in fostering personal and communal growth.
