Do you like the idea of a book club...but don't have quite enough time to delve into a book each month? Try this noble quest...
Meet at MMPL's Round Table at the West end of the library by the nonfiction section of the library for a guided and informal group discussion. Each Night at the Round Table conversation is based on a theme or idea and led by a moderator from the community.
Each session begins by introducing an article/book excerpt; video/ or piece of audio. Afterwards, participants will talk about that material, using provided questions and following their own curiosity and group thought process.
Facilitated by Nikhil Kalothia.

DISCUSSION THEME
Forgotten First Ladies Who Influenced America
Participants will begin this event by viewing a recording of the conversation outlined below:
Historian Teri Finneman joins moderator Larry Skogen to explore the often-overlooked influence of America’s First Ladies. Drawing on examples from across U.S. history, Dr. Finneman examines how women in the White House shaped political culture, public perception, and national priorities despite lacking formal power, and how their contributions have frequently been minimized or forgotten. The conversation invites a reconsideration of political influence, visibility, and women’s roles in shaping American history.
