Nightfighter: Low-Light Firearms Training
Advertisement
Most defensive encounters occur in reduced-light conditions, yet many responsible firearm owners have never trained to safely identify and engage threats after dark. A flashlight—whether handheld or weapon-mounted—is more than an accessory; it's a critical decision-making tool that helps you identify what you're looking at before you ever consider pressing the trigger. In this four-hour live-fire course, you'll learn practical low-light skills with the firearm you actually rely on for personal or home defense. Students may choose to train with a **handgun, defensive carbine, or defensive shotgun**, receiving professional coaching throughout structured drills designed to build confidence, accountability, and safe firearm handling in limited-light environments.
This is **not** a beginner firearms class. Students should already possess safe gun handling skills and previous recognized firearms training. Throughout the evening we'll challenge common low-light myths while teaching positive threat identification, handheld and weapon-mounted light techniques, adverse shooting positions, movement, communication, and practical decision-making under reduced visibility. If you carry a firearm to protect yourself or your family, this course will help you develop practical, repeatable skills that can be safely integrated into your personal defense plan. Training is conducted at **Woody's Rifle Club in New Hill, NC**, conveniently located for students from Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Durham, Chapel Hill, and throughout Central North Carolina. Confidence after dark doesn't come from owning more gear—it comes from competent, structured training.
