The FMU Observatory will be open January 23, 2026, for an evening star party. When is the event exactly?
Drop-In Time: any time between 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: FMU Observatory located behind the Center for the Child
Parking: Please use Lot D or the Center for the Child parking lots. Follow the glow stick path to the track area. It is a short walk, but it will be dark!
What will be happening?
We will have telescopes set up on the FMU Observatory grounds as well as the Dome open. We will view Saturn, Jupiter, and various Deep Sky Objects. There will be a crescent moon in the sky this evening.
This is an outdoor event and visitors are encouraged to check weather conditions before venturing out to the University. In the case of severe weather, or completely cloudy skies, the event will be canceled.
