Race Info
This race is at Freedom Park in Williamsburg, VA and starts at 6pm. The Start/Finish will be in the meadow parallel to the Botanical Garden area. The challenging course includes single track, fire road and paved trails all within the park. Rolling hills throughout. Keep in mind some of the trails are technical and have roots, twists and turns! Practice on mountain bike type singe track trails if available! Race will happen rain or shine with a possibility of a 30 min delay if needed for storms.
Parking will be around the Interpretive Center building. There are 2 restrooms on the exterior of the center and several inside the center. Packet pick up will be race day only starting at 4:30pm. Post race party will include beer and pizza. All finishers receive medals! T-shirts (purchased separately) will be a women's tank or regular T-shirt (unisex), choose whichever you prefer. No size guarantee after June 8th!
Awards will be given as follows:
Overall top 3 Male and Female
Overall top 3 Male and Female Walker
Top 3 in the following age groups Male and Female:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & up
Awards will be available for pick up following the event, we will have a brief awards ceremony. Please note, Age Group awards will be cool race swag with no specific age or gender designation!
This is a Colonial Road Runner Grand Prix event!
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Nature's Nanny Wildlife rehab. There will be some owls and educational materials at the Visitors Center post race party! Walkers are welcome and there is no time limit for finishers. If you plan for a late finish, please bring personal illumination.
Storm plan & Deferrals/Refunds
If there is a dangerous storm in the area, the race will be moved to Sunday, June 28th at 8am! I will decide this by Saturday 11am.
Your registration fee covers costs for site rental, awards, permits, insurance, etc and a portion of the proceeds are donated to Natures Nanny Wildlife rescue (a great cause!) Happy Cat Fitness does not issue refunds after June 8th, but will give deferrals on a case by case basis up to 2 days prior to the event. Please keep in mind that 2 days out from the event all race costs have been absorbed, so deferrals are costly, but if you still need one please email me at [email protected] as early as possible. Your packet will be redistributed likely to volunteers. Thanks for your cooperation, but please take this into consideration when registering!

PLEASE NOTE! THIS YEAR T-SHIRTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION. PLEASE ADD ON A T-SHIRT IF YOU WANT ONE!
The deadline to guarantee the T-shirt size you want is June 8th! Please register by this date so I can be as accurate as possible with my T-shirt order. This was done this year to allow for a lower registration cost for those who do not need one!
COURSE MODIFIED THIS YEAR!
I have changed the finish this year to the road adjacent to the Interpretive Center. I have done this so the post race party to be closer to the finish and the restrooms will also be closer. I have a new map posted on the Happy Cat Fitness website: https://happycatfitness.com/. The distance will be measured accurately and the course will not change much as far as difficulty (just a little bit).
