At the turn of the 20th century, a woman is tortured and decapitated by bloodthirsty natives. Her headless copse possessed by a demon whilst her murderers are slaughtered by soldiers. It is a dangerous place, with a history of voodoo.
Fast forward. A group of researchers investigating endangered species, make camp in this very jungle location, unaware of the dangers. Whilst the butch men fight over hunting and expedition costs, the women squabble over their love interest. But evil lurks behind those jungle drums, with sharp fangs and a leopard skin leotard. Who will survive?
Taking it’s cliches from old Tarzan films with added sex and violence, Ossorio (Tombs of the Blind Dead) gives us a strangely hypnotic slo-motion camp-it-up-in-the-jungle horror romp. Throw into the pot zombies and vampire women who prance around the jungle with wild demonic glee. It’s a trash treat.
The feature will be supported by a short programme of wild 70s jungle horror trailers.
